Acceptable Slouching

If it was morally & socially acceptable, I would live in my pyjama's. Other than the occasional hungover walk home/dash to the local shop, I generally manage to get out of my trackies or PJ's when dressing for the day. Although this saddens me, I have always felt it was for the greater good of the world - my friends really don't deserve to see me being too lazy to even dress... HOWEVER! A revolution is occurring, times are changing, and suddenly I'm seeing trackies EVERYWHERE! There's a few tricks - these Pull&Bear babies (left) are printed  and look pretty high quality, so can technically classify themselves as a trouser, whilst having all the best trackie qualities - loose, elasticated waist band, pockets. I think I'm in love. On the other end of the spectrum, these Monki ones (centre) are classified as sweatpants... Verging on unacceptable, but I feel without a tucked in top, it might be ok! Also they just look to comfy to resist... The compromise - Zara does it again! These navy blue "plush trousers with cuffs" (right) look like a great balance between cosy and wearable. They're skinny enough to be fairly flattering, but still a good material, plain in style, and easy to wear. They're also the cheapest (£19.99), and if I was being really adventurous, I'd even brave wearing them with some wedges, nice top, and blazer for a smart/cas evening outfit! So if you love your PJ's & trackies as much as I do (and let's be honest, who doesn't?!), maybe invest in a pair! And if anyone does make a Trackie reference, just say you're continuing the summer Sports Luxe Olympic trend, they'll never know......
