Dress Up

I'm really excited at the moment, as loads of my girls are turning 18! We all love a good dance (and drink...) as well as an occasion to get dressed up, so it looks like my bank balance is just going to have to man up and deal with it for a while.... These are a few items on my Lust-List, and although they're all a bit OTT compared to my usual jeans & wedges affair, you're only 18 once, and for my girls I'm happy to make the effort!

This dress is so simple but so cute! I reckon it'd be really easy to wear, and is dressy without making a huge effort. Of all the items on here, I think this will be my only definite purchase.
These shoes are BEAUT. I love Vivienne Westwood shoes, and anything with glitter is an instant winner as far as I'm concerned. They look fairly comfy too as they're not too high, and although you probably couldn't wear them allllll the time, they're an investment!
This Urban Outfitters dress is also so lovely. I really like the back detailing, as it turns it from a really simple day dress into one that could easily be worn in the evenings with either boots or plain heels. It's a girly shape but the print toughens it up which I love - also possibly a necessary purchase....
I love the detailing on this Topshop top. Although I don't really wear cropped camis (or ever, due to fear or looking like a heffa/wannabe spice girl), with this black high waisted skirt (also Topshop) I think it would definitely be acceptable. The contrast is colour might be a bit too stark, but with a tanned midrift (may have to whack out the St. Morez!) I think it'd be a nice occasion outfit.
This star necklace is really sweet and could be worn with everything & anything - as well as doubling up as a good 18th birthday present for friends!
These rings from ASOS are amazing. I first saw ones similar on an episode of Made In Chelsea, and really like how they're simple but have a lot of impact. I Particularly love the completely plain gold ones; you can wear them with anything, all the time and toughen up any girly outfit. Statement rings at they're best!
And finally - the bag. Where do I even start. With a surface area of 124cm squared (first time I've done maths since GCSE's, but for this bag, it's worth it.) covered with jewels, I don't really understand how it's possibly to not love this bag. Although I love big bags, for events like this, some small, statement, and sparkly is essential, and I'd say it's a definite win!

Hope that's given you some inspiration if you're similarly looking for occasion wear items, and if not, Christmas isn't that far away - start prepare the wardrobe now!
