I would love to be an iPhone person - someone reliable and careful enough to know they won't spill tea/ scratch with keys/inevitably drop something so shiny & delicate. I have a long standing history of torturing my phones through a combination of water damage, constant dropping, loss of essential parts (my current one has no back...) and so when I started thinking about investing in one, I realised I'm not an ideal candidate... I can come to terms with this, but what is really upsetting me is that all the best accessories at the moment seem to revolve around them! I'm trying to buy a new purse (because surprise surprise, I looked after my current one about as well as my phone, and it currently refuses to close) but all the ones of the style I like only come as iPhone purses. All these beautiful hard case purses are from
Topshop, and not one of them is available as a non-iPhone case.
When will it become acceptable to be clumsy? For all of you who are more careful & trustworthy, I truly am in awe of you, and can only aspire to one day be slightly more cautious...
One quick point - people are always shocked when I tell them my phone doesn't have internet access, but I can't understand why! There is nothing that gets on my nerves more than when I'm catching up with someone, or just have a quick conversation, and the whole time their eyes are glued to their phones, scrolling through pages of tweets and facebook status's which they couldn't care less about. I use my phone to text and call people, and that's all. People say I'm technologically challenged, but really I just prefer to actually talk to people than text... So maybe I don't want to be an iPhone person that much; and to be honest I think that could be a good thing.
