Trains

Trains are brilliant. I know everyone complains about the delays, expensive tickets, and rail works, but I can safely say trains are my favourite way to travel. With a book, iPod, and tea I'm all sorted! I spent my half term whizzing around on trains, and it was brilliant; I finished my book, listened to loads of albums I haven't had time to yet, and had a bit of a doze... Wrapped up in loads of layers with a chai latte, I travelled across from Sheffield to Manchester, a really beautiful bit of the country which was stunning on such a clear day. The train from Norwich to Sheffield was busybusybusy but there were some really cute children to entertain our carriage, and on the way back a man next to me had a brilliant iPod playlist blaring so I eavesdropped on that... I know they can be a hassle when they're late, and it's fair to say the prices can be ridiculous, but arriving in a train station is one of my favourite things, especially when there's a friendly face & a hug waiting for you on the other side of the barrier :-)
