First Post!

I've recently been reading a lot of blogs (mainly to procrastinate from revision) and have become a bit addicted to some of my favourites.. So I decided it was about time I got my own, so I can post about whatever takes my fancy :-)

For my first post, I thought I'd just write about three things which I really love at the moment! A good summer song, a pair of shoes, and a festival I went to last weekend....

Firstly, a song I cannot stop listening to is 'I'm His Girl' by Friends. It's great for getting ready to go out, or power walking down the street, although I just love dancing round my bedroom to it... A 5 part band from Brooklyn, their music is catchy and feel good, and Samantha Urbani's vocals are fab! Other great songs like 'My Boo' and 'Friend Crush' are also definitely worth a listen...

Shoes are definitely a weakness of mine, so when I saw this pair of Zara T-Bar Wedges, I couldn't resist! The platform wedge under the toe means they are easy to wear, and don't feel as high as they look when walking. Also, the ankle buckle and T-Bar make sure your feet feel secure, as well as nodding towards the vintage T-Bar trend, which is (it seems) a timeless favourite. And at only £29.99, they were a bargain! I've been wearing them with jeans and a bomber jacket in the day, and tailored shorts and a blazer in the evening, as the height makes them suitable for both day & night! I went for the black pair, but the bright orange were very tempting...

Finally, last weekend I went to Playfest, a small festival in Quidenham. The Line Up was great; although I wasn't a huge fan of the headliners (Ash & Feeder) Scroobius Pip, Natty, Little Comets, The Pigeon Detectives and Roots Manuva were all incredible! Also, three stand out bands were definitely Solko, Killamonjambo and Dumbfoundus; all three created a great atmosphere in the crowd, and kept everyone dancing despite the rain, although I must say Dumbfoundus' rendition of 'King Of The Swingers' mashed with Alexandra Stan's 'Mr Saxobeat' was a definite highlight! Luckily, all three of these bands perform pretty regularly in Norwich, and they're definitely worth a watch! Last year was the festivals first one, and although it was really good, it was generally a lot better organised this year, and we were given free tea before leaving on the Monday morning to cheer us up in the rain! Such a great weekend :-)
