I am a big lover of Sex And The City, and recently watched the entire series 1-6 on boxset to refresh my love for Carrie and the girls. I've just finished the very last one, and can't get over how much I love Carrie & Big together!! However, what I can't understand is how Carrie didn't love Paris!? As Big says, "Most people come to Paris to fall in love. You came and got slapped." Fair enough, the circumstances weren't ideal, but I still believe Paris is one of the most beautiful cities! I recently went with my mum, and although we only had a 24 hour trip, it was incredible. Starting with a midnight dinner at the Sacre Coeur, we watched Parisians partying through the streets as we walked around (and got a little lost..) and took in the atmosphere. The next morning, we walked from our hotel to the Louvre, stopping to look into the beautiful shop windows, from pipes and antiques, to Chanel and Louboutin, to cheese and chocolat! We visited the Musée de l'Orangerieand wandered around Monet's waterlilies. A very french lunch was followed by a walk along the Seine to the Eiffel tower, across to the Arc de Triomphe and finally down the Champs Elysees. Just walking around a city is one of my favourite things to do, as you can get a proper sense of what it's like without all the touristy bits if you don't want them. I managed to practice a bit of my French, as well as enjoy the Parisian fashion, and although it might not have been the place for Carrie, I think I would really like to live there one day....
