Paint & Polish

It is a very very very rare occasion that I don't wear nail varnish, and these are just a few of my absolute favourites!
(From top left, anticlockwise)
Sephora - 'It Girl' Deep Blood Red, Barry M - Racing Green / Raspberry, Model's Own - Nude Beige, W7 - Gold Glitter, Model's Own - Beth's Blue, Topshop - Flamingo Coral

The newest addition to my vast collection is this Sephora deep red. It's pretty dramatic, and only takes one coat but is really easy to apply and looks great on! Barry M nail paints are so cheap (usually £2.99) so I wear a lot of them and change the colour regularly, but these two are my favourites. I usually wear the Raspberry shade on my feet, as I think deeper reds and darker shades definitely suit toes more than pastels, unless you have very tanned feet! However, when I'm going for something a little more subtle on my finger nails, I really like this shade of beige by Model's Own. It goes with everything, and is good for when you're feeling a bit lazy, as it doesn't need as much topping up as darker colours when it chips. This gold is my weakness! For a while I only wore it to parties, but I've started wearing it all the time as it just brightens up dull outfits and makes me look like I've made an effort when I really haven't. It stays on for ages, but can be difficult to remove; use a lot of cotton wool and nail varnish remover, it will come off eventually! Beth's Blue is gorgeous; a really summery shade I've worn for years which is a bit different to corals or lilacs. Finally, this Topshop pink is very girly, something I don't generally go for in nail varnish's, but sometimes I like to try something a bit softer.I love how easy it is to apply, although I'd say 2 coats is probably necessary :-)
