Friday
First Aid Kit were the first act that we really wanted to see, and they were so good, perfect summery music! I'd never really listened to Polica before, but a friend said to go & see them (apparently Jay Z loves them) and they were really good too. Tim Minchin is a bit of a hero of mine (my life goal is to play piano as well as him..), and his set was amazing but we got to see him soundcheck at 10 in the morning with about 10 other early risers which was an added bonus!! Caught the end of Lana Del Ray, who can definitely sing live despite what people say. Metronomy were great, and Bon Iver were perfect! The stage was beautiful and they were so gooood, although by then we were flagging in energy slightly, so emergency nachos had to be bought... Danced away until 3 at Moshi Moshi DJ's who played some HUGE classics, including Bootylicious!
Saturday
We chilled in the Word arena for a few hours and saw Sharon Van Etten and Lianne La Havas who were both brilliant! Really talented ladies, and Lianne especially was a stand out performer. We braved the rain for Michael Kiwanuka, who's set was so chilled and lovely it's a shame it wasn't beautiful sun! But still great :-) Laura Marling & Elbow were amazing, and the fireworks over the headliners set was soo lovely. Caught Scroobius Pip in the poetry tent who was great & embraced the middle class label of the festival with a bottle of rose & having money through at him from the crowd - he tweeted later that he made £21! Then, the event my friend Yaz looks forward to every year, dancing in the comedy tent to Guilty Pleasures all night. It was hilarious, we had such a good time & had a game of volleyball afterwards, lush night!
None of us were feeling very fresh by now, but dragged ourselves out of our tents to the arena for much needed hot food & to see what was on. Ended up watching Rufus Wainwright who had great stage presence and was really entertaining. We stayed at the main stage for Alabama Shakes, and Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zero's. Both were amazing!! Such good summer music, and absolute babes who were so lively & energetic, everyone was dancing as the sun shone! Headed over to the iArena for King Charles who I'd been looking forward to for ages, and we weren't disappointed! But for me, the highlight of Sunday had to be Ben Howard. I saw him play the Sunrise Arena last year at Latitude having not heard of him before, and fell a little bit in love with him then.. Bought his album and went to see him play the UEA LCR, but this was just amazing! Hearing a full arena of people singing 'Keep Your Head Up' must've been amazing, and me and my sister were definitely singing along to every song. We weren't too worried about Paul Weller, so headed back to the tent to prepare for our last night! Visited the Disco Shed which was chilled but fun before Vinyl Vendetta's at the Lake Stage who were brilliant!! Lots of dancing was done, lots of voices were lost, it was amazing.

Sunday

I wasn't sure about whether I should go this year, but I am so glad I did!! As my 3rd time camping for the entire festival, I'd say this year maybe possibly have been the best, although our post GCSE celebrations last year come a close second! Writing about it now I really want to be back there, but there's always next year :-)
Julia I am so incredibly jealous! So glad you had an amazing time. Next year I want to be there!! Miss you! x
