Hello Sunshine

It's 00.11 & I've just about finished packing for my trip to Barcelona which I'm leaving for in about 50 minutes... It's well known that I am a terrible packer (so much so that my friend Nell has been texting me throughout the day to help/motivate me!), so no doubt I've forgotten loads of essentials, which is probably why I'm not worried; I'm used to a last minute dash to Boots in the airport! I'm a bit of a fidget & don't really like being in one place for too long, so I'm definitely up for a bit of a change of scenery, especially as Norwich is not the biggest of places & my usual retreat London is overwhelmed with Olympics mania! I've packed 4 bikinis, a fully charged/playlist updated iPod, 3 books & lots of sun tan lotion for this spanish expedition as well as 3 books for the beach; "We Need To Talk About Kevin" by Lionel Shriver, which I started ages ago for school but took a break from (sadly to read Fifty Shade of Grey - definitely shouldn't have bothered!), but am looking forward to finishing. I've also got "The Picture Of Dorian Gray" which is on my reading list for next year, but the one I'm really excited about is Michael Ondaatje's "The Cat's Table". I was running through Waterstones & just grabbed it because the blurb sounded ace, but the sales woman said it was really popular as it's a fairly recent publication, and friends have recommended it, so I'm excited for that!! I doubt I'll be posting much while I'm there, but when I'm back I'll hopefully have lots of things to post about. Hope you're all enjoying the summer, whether you're off summer or just enjoying being at home with friends :-)
