I'm a very happy girl, as Lucy Rose's debut album 'Like I Used To' was released today! I've already listened to the whole thing through once (on my second listen through currently) and I'm absolutely loving it. I've been listening to her for a while, so am really loving a whole album of goodies from her! Red Face, Little Brave, Middle Of The Bed, and Bikes are my personal favourites, but I'd recommend the whole thing as a beautifully put together collection of songs. Her voice is so pure and lovely, and she's a wonderful song writer. Having seen her at Reading Festival this summer, I was surprised by how shy and modest she was in real life; she said that she'd been expecting no one to come and watch her set! I've just bought a ticket to go and see her at the Norwich Arts Centre, which I'm looking forward to so much! It's a great venue, and I think her style of music will suit it really well. I wish her so much luck with the album, and can't wait to hear more from her!X
P.S. How did I forget to mention the amazing Mumford & Sons album 'Babel' also came out today!! It's right up next on my listening list, so will post soon once I've had a good listen :-)
