White Nails

What feels like forever ago (but was actually only June?!) I did a post on my favourite nail colours. These definitely need updating, and top of my list of faves is white nails! At first I wasn't sure about this at all - for fear of looking like a nine year old who got a bit too excited with the Tip Ex pen... Although I've received some comments along these lines (thanks mum...) generally the feedback's been positive! I love how simple it is. I feel like it's one nail colour that doesn't have strong connotations - while red is stereo typically vampy/dramatic, and pastel shades are meant to be for summery occasions only, white is just what it is - plain. It stands out whilst not being offensive or giving any particular impression (minus the Tip-Ex image...), and goes with everything. Also, you can get away with buying a cheap brand and not bother with base coat if 

you're in a rush, as it won't stain your nails! It's a win-win situation. I'm currently wearing Natural Collection White - the first one I bought as I was still not sold on the colour and didn't want to waste valuable nail varnish money! However, now I'm thinking of investing in either Models Own Snow White

 or NARS Ècume. Let me know what you think :-)
