I have possibly the worst taste in films of anybody ever. I've seen barely any classics (including Superbad and Anchorman...) but have watched Love Actually and The Aristocats an unacceptable number of times.So yesterday whist heavily procrastinating I saw that The Ugly Truth was on film4 and recorded it in case of more procrastination needs in the future... Which is exactly what happened yesterday evening! And I have to say, expectations were low - the last thing I recorded on a whim was 'Love Happens' with Jennifer Aniston, and I can safely say that was a definite waste of 2 hours of my life. However! The Ugly Truth completely surprised me! It's quick, a bit edgier than most chick flicks, and Gerard Butler is a delicious lead male. Although slightly predictable (as has to be expected really) it was hilarious & a tad cringeworthy at times, which I always enjoy in a RomCom. Definitely on to watch with the girls, some wine, ice cream, and when you're in need of a good laugh!
In other news, I've decided that winter has officially arrived. My room is turning into it's usual winter state of igloo/ice cave, which is fine at night when I can turn up my electric blanket and get all cosy, but at 7am it is a lot less appreciate... I've been driven to the point of wearing double knitwear - this big cosy jumper & a scarf my grandma knitted me. While I'm comfy and very warm, I do look slightly like an explosion in a wool factory and it is not a very flattering look.. However, it gives me a good excuse to not bother making any effort when dressing for sixth form, and means all my essays can be completed from my bed. It's official, winters here. Grab the tights, find the gloves, slip on some lovely socks, and get cosy, it's going to be a loooong (& cold) few months! X
