Manchester Museum

Last week I visited my sister in Sheffield, and headed over to Manchester for a day to look around the University and city in general. I was only there for one day, but I managed to cram a hell of a lot into it! The University itself was brilll, and I'm really keen to apply there. But the city sold itself! I popped into the Manchester Museum before a talk, and was really impressed by the variety of exhibitions. Not only is there a T-Rex called Stan, an elephant, and an area dedicated to live reptiles, I was also able to hold some Egyptian artifacts and get completely creeped out by a few mummies.... It's laid out really well, and there's something to interest everyone. Some large display cases with different collections of things, including 1000 origami cranes is really interesting, and I'd definitely recommend a trip  if you are passing! It's completely free to get in, and you can take as long/or as little time as you like!
