Benefit Cosmetics

As a post-christmas treat, my lovely mumma booked me & a friend a make up lesson at Benefit cosmetics! We each got about 20 minutes focusing on a specific area; Ruby chose eyes, I went for complexion & cheeks. I love Benefit products; the They're Real mascara is incredible, and the Hoola bronzer is lush! But I've now been tempted into buying even more.... The POREfessional primer is amazing - it creates a consistent, no-shine base before applying foundation, helping reduce the appearance of pores & ensuring make up stays in place for longer. The foundation and bronzer were good (Hello Flawless & Dallas), but I really loved the highlighter Sun Beam. For a little pot of gold it made such a difference; applied round the eyes it just makes you look so much more awake! I always struggle with lipsticks, as I hate anything that's too obvious & can't really get away with bright reds or pinkypinks, but the make up gal helped me find one I really liked - Silky Finish Lipstick in Skinny Dip. It  just enhanced the colour of my lips, so you could tell I was wearing a stick, but not too obviously which I really liked. Ruby tried a lush Lipgloss too (they're now in the sale for £7!), and the girl used a really great palette on her eyes to create a smoky eyes using browns mainly - so gorgeous! If you've not used Benefit products before, I'd definitely speak to one of the sales assistants before buying; the products are a little pricier than I'd normally spend, but once they've matched you with a few, it's worth the splurge! I have to admit I went back for the primer.... Next week will be the lipstick!
