Top 5

The first top 5 of 2013! & I'm sorry to say it's been pretty heavily influenced by the ridiculous amount of One Tree Hill episodes I've been watching (I'd forgotten how gripping the Peyton/Lucas/Brooke triangle is!).

1 - Citizen Cope - Son's Gonna Rise - Classic Series one... It's so good! Added this is my driving playlist (I've got way too excited about this now..), it's just so chilled but ace. 

2. Nada Surf - Always Love - This is cute, & I like the lyrics. It's a good one for getting up in the morning when it's cold and you really can't be bothered..

3. Paolo Nutini - Jenny Don't Be Hasty

Such. A. Classic. I had a lovely day last week at a friends house in the country. We made lunch and baked and caught up, and while they were cooking (I was put on table laying duty thanks to my cooking reputation..) we had this on. I forgot what a great album it is! Incredible song.

4. Zaz - Je Veux Last year I spent some time with a relative in France. She passed away a few months ago, and it's been pretty tough. But while we were there she played me this lady's CD & I fell a little bit in love with it. This song is one of my faves, but I like the whole album, and can associate it with lovely meals & evenings with someone I miss very much but love always.

5. Metronomy - Corinne The English Riviera is a great album, and it's hard to pick a favourite song (The Look is just so good..) but this one has the most plays on my iTunes, so it had to be the one!
