I've been a little bit stuck for post ideas recently as coursework/drama rehearsals/ work shifts seem to have taken over my life! However, I haven't done a top 5 in ages, and no matter how busy I am I always make time for music.. So here's what I've been loving recently!
I love this - Feels Like We Only Go Backwards by Tame Impala . Feels like a very summery sound, and the video is wicked. Just a really lovely chilled tune - perfect for a sunny saturday morning!
Disclosure - White Noise ft. AlunaGeorge. Such a good dancey song! I love AlunaGeorge - You Know You Like It is still one of my faves <3 But this is a beaut too, last few nights I've been out and it's come on it gets everyone dancing!
Although I wasn't a fan of her Power Of Love cover, I really like Gabrielle Aplin's Please Don't Say You Love Me. It's easy to listen to, and her voice is really lovely. Simple but sweet!
Tom Odell did a brilliant cover of Taylor Swift's I Knew You Were Trouble. I really like his voice, it's pretty raw but honest.. And he turned a really irritating song into one I'd actually choose to listen to! His own stuff is pretty swell to - Another Love is really great.
Carole King - I Feel The Earth Move. Tapestry is such a beautiful album, and one which my family holds a lot of love for. It's one of the few albums I can put on and enjoy the whole thing. I chose this song as it's the first on the album, so whenever it comes on at work or at home, I know I've got at least an hour of lovely music to listen to.
