Weekend of Joy!

I have had the most lovely weekend in so long!! In the midst of coursework deadlines (cry) and looming exam dates (cryyyyy) it was the perfect remedy after a stressful week! 

My wonderful friend Miri turned 18 on friday - to celebrate, we adorned her with Birthday banners, baked, drank & danced.

& That was only Friday/Saturday morning! I had a really fun shift on Saturday night, and have had a free house today to get stuck into some work (and heavily procrastinate by pretending to be Joss Stone...). I made banana bread, caught up with some fam, and wrote a letter I've been meaning to for at least a week...My cousin Mo sent me 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' by Khaled Hosseini all the way from America because I told her how much I loved The Kite Runner when she was over recently.  I've snuggled up in a blanket & pjs and got stuck in and am absolutely loving it! I'm looking forward to a good sleep (I need it so badly! Too many late nights!) and then will hopefully be able to face the coming week....! Hope you've all had lovely weekends too!
