Eyebrows

To me, good eyebrow care is essential. I can leave the house without mascara, but I always give my eyebrows a brush & colour first - they say a lot about a person, and are such a defining feature on your face, attention must be paid! I think as long as you get the shape and colour right, you'll be fine :-)
Shape
If I neglected my brows for a bit, I always refer to this image before getting too tweeze happy! It's from a book called The Beauty Bible (cheeeesy, but 20p from a carboot!), and it basically says to take a make up brush, and put it along side your nose. Make it cross each end of your eye - Wherever it ends is where your brows should. Then, take the brush and hold it at the edge of your iris - wherever it lands on your brow is where the highest part of the arch should be - mathematical stuff! But worth getting right :-) So, then you can whack out the tweezers. Don't tweeze from above the brow - always from below, and don't tweeze too many at a time! Stop and check them. Also, I'd say do a few on each brow at the same time, otherwise you'll do one perfectly, and have trouble replicating it on the other eye! Alternatively you could get them professionally shaped or threaded - I've never done this (due to refusing to spend money) but if you're nervous about getting it wrong, maybe give it a go!
Colour
When you've finished shaping (and got over the pain!), it's the good bit - colouring! Because I'm a brunette, I always colour mine, as they can look fairly sparse otherwise, but if you have lighter hair you won't need to worry as much. For the last few months I've been addicted to Sephora's Eyebrow Pencil 02 which they don't seem to be stocking on the website anymore :-( But here are some other great products! This Elf lift & fill pencil is a bargain at £3.75, while at the other end of the price range is this Benefit beauty Brow A-Go-Go at £26.50. It's got pretty much everything you could need though, as well as a step by step guide so I'd say it's worth the investment! This Sephora palette is a great half way point at just over £11, and available in different colours depending on hair colour, I'd say it's a winner! Don't go too OTT with colouring, try and make it look natural by following the line of the hair. Always brush brows before colouring, apply colour, and you're done! :-)
