New People

In the last few days, I've met some really cool people and realised how important it is to talk to everyone. I babysat a seven year old girl who can play 'In the jungle' on the Ukulele ridiculously well! What an amazing skill/party trick!! By the time she's my age, she'll be amazing. I've played piano since I was really little and remember how much I hated practicing, but she's wicked. I have so much respect for her patience, and the fact she has a pink Ukulele; she's so much cooler than me at 7. At work this week I had a really good chat with a girl I work with about gap years, travelling, Uni & life in general. She's great! She's travelled everywhere and is so down to earth; I think we have pretty similar outlooks on life but she's a few years ahead of me so I can ask her about stuff I haven't got a clue about. A really nice women in starbucks talked to me about her dog and gold accessories while she made me a chai latte, and my boss told me not to worry about not having my next few years planned out, and that it'll come in time!

Sometimes I forget there are really cool people everywhere, whether it's because of a hobby, their outlook on life, or just the fact they're happy to have a general chat with you while they make you a drink. I love talking to people, and I always feel happier afterwards, like a warm glow :-) Look a bit further and see the real person, and to be honest (and a little cheesy) everyone is interesting in their own way!X
