Top 5

I haven't done one of these in ages, but in an attempt to gain back any kind of dignity after my last post on Girls Aloud reforming, I thought it was pretty essential. I've been listening to a real mish-mash of things recently with some proper oldies like Van the Man and and the God that is Ms. Fitzgerald. I was also made some CD's by a friend of Dermot O'Leary's Saturday Sessions which are brill! I'll do a post on that soon :-) So for now, a Top 5.....

AlunaGeorge - Pretty much anything by this gal is worth a listen. You Know You Like It is my fave, but Just A Touch is also brill. She's got a cute/breathy voice and is great for a dance when you're getting ready or good background music. I love her!

Bastille - One song and I'm sold, Bad Blood. I'm liking Sleepsong a lot too, they're a really good band and I'm excited to see what else they come out with soon!

Jake Bugg - Ahhhh what a man! Two Fingers has been playing everywhere at the moment, and I'm really glad! But Country Song is incredibly beautiful; simple, not overproduced, and honest, give this guy a go!

Nicki Minaj - This is so unacceptable, and I am pretty ashamed by this, but I've had a couple of really great nights out recently, and this has been the song that's kept me & the girls on the dancefloor for one more song (and inevitably one more drink...) - Pound The Alarm. Otherwise I'm not going to try and justify it. So wrong. (but so right?)

Kanye West - Homecoming. This came on at a party last night, and everyone was dancing. What a classic! Also decided this is worth learning on the piano, my productive afternoon is slowly slipping away.... It's Kanye. What else is there to say.
